The real game this week worth talking about......

Clintwood versus Volunteer.
Last year 40-0. Ouch BUT THAT WAS LAST YEAR.

This has the making of a great game packed with incentive. There are only 3 to four games on Clintwood's schedule (PV, JIB, GC and Volunteer) that will have any suspense as to the outcome before they are played.

I'm no Greenwave fan, but I'll be pulling for the men in green this Friday Night. LPD then, LPD now, LPD Forever.

Clintwood will destroy Volunteer. I don't expect a close game at all.

If it's close, Clintwood is much, much, much weaker than I expect.

LOL OK whatever

All I heard last season was how bad Vol was.....and after everything was said and done Vol was the best team we played all season.

I hope GC or PV desides to pick up Vol for an easy win next season

GC slaps em around every preseason like a red headed step child...they did last year too as a matter of fact. And, that was before GC gelled as well. Last year, Volunteer was a lay down game for Clintwood...the Wave was better than that.

LOL not if you talk to the Vol fans who will tell you that in a game they would beat them by 3 TD. According the my VOL source Vol handed it to CG this preseason and GC saved face after VOL put in a bunch of kids that will never see the field for them (I did not see eather last years or this years scrimage so I can not tell you how eather went......And while we are at it a scrimage is a gloryifed practice I am not sure it is the best measuring stick of a team.......PV could drop TW and Pick them up should be an easy win for AA points

Honestly, year in year out PV plays the toughest regular season around...even with TW on there (Lebanon, Lee, Richlands, GC, TW). And, to hear Vol folks talk, you'd think they were DB..lol. I'm sure if they wanted some, they could schedule some SWVA powerhouses...but they don't.

Volunteer had probably its second best team in school history last year. Maybe their best. 1998 is probably the only team that would be considered better IMO.

That's funny. Volunteer is decent, but after spotting them 2 scores GC warmed up and had a pretty good scrimmage. But it was just a scrimmage.

Last year the Volunteer scrimmage was 5-4. This year it was 5-3 in favor of GC.They scored once on our first team defense. It's also a long drive from Church Hill to Clintwood. There are alot of factors involved instead of "he said she said". I saw Clintwood three times last year, and I know what they have back. If Clintwood plays to their potential they'll destroy them. Take it for what it's worth.
